Performance

The 2012 API Growth scores, released in October 2012, are based on tests students took that spring (2012). The scores determine whether or not California schools met their growth targets set from 2011 Base scores released in spring 2012. To meet its growth target, a school and each of its numerically significant student subgroups must improve their performance each year by 5% of the difference between their API and the statewide target of 800 (with certain exceptions).
